What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Peek Week: THURSDAY...it's PRACTICALLY Friday!

Haven't gone to bed before 1am any day this week (this is reason # 5739 I hate your business trips) and this morning, it caught up with me. Got up early (had to) but didn't really feel like myself for a while. I was a slow starter, as they say.

Adele' asked me to take a picture of her. I just flung the camera her way and hit the shutter. Didn't hold it up to my face or anything. I think my eyes were still shut at that point, in fact.

I really like it, in a haunting sort of way.

Grandma and Grandpa picked up the three older children for their annual Christmas shopping trip leaving it just he and me.

Oops.

I mean HE and ME.

I didn't really want to, but I figured I should take advantage of their absence and get the last of the Christmas shopping done and stocking stuffers bought.

It is amazing how little you get accomplished in a day when you go shopping.

Remember when you asked if we had any more peanuts last week?

I was thinking of you.

The babe and I ate lunch at Wegmans where he ate food from the fresh foods and chinese bar and I ate half a burrito. He sat across from me and acted quite grown up about it.

He even insisted upon using a fork! THAT's a first.

By the car ride home he was toast.

So I did what any mother of four does with a car empty of (conscious) children~ I got myself an ice cream cone!

When the children came home, we ate supper and then got to work on cinnamon ornaments. It smells heavenly here.

I changed the sheets on our bed for when you come home. Nothing says welcome home more than fresh sheets. Unless I was on them. (REBECCA!)

And now I am going to turn on Bright Star and start wrapping presents because I know that tomorrow a nosy Newman (the NOSIEST) is coming and I don't want any surprises ruined.

I can't wait.

XOXO

I love these post! It's such a sweet way to keep connected with your husband... and I'll admit I love seeing little snapshots of peoples lives in the normal everyday moments. :)

Ice cream in December!? ok, as long as you share.

Thanks for the daily posts, I'm sure it was a lot of work. Now I don't feel like I missed everything.

That's so neat how Judah's using a fork. Guess he think's he's big stuff.
