I downloaded a crochet blanket pattern from there the other day, thanks to you.

Oh, and I like that brown DRESS more than the hat. Oh, for the lost times of women wearing dresses every day at home. (I try to wear dresses frequently in the summer.) It just makes me feel that much more feminine for the day.Leahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02069794229090921826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9968516.post-70406743869573575322011-03-08T10:36:10.882-05:002011-03-08T10:36:10.882-05:00I agree as well with bringing back the hat style. ...I agree as well with bringing back the hat style. I saw that dear bonnet on rosylittlethings, too, and immediately put it on MY list! (I bet you five bucks you make it first...)

3. I share your love of hats. If I ever chop my hair, I will lament all those I discarded when we moved from Buffalo. (Remember how dorky I looked at C&C with mushroom hats and long hair?)

4. All of these "moth and rust do corrupts" are wonderful! Thank you for sharing. And as for hats for ladies - some of us believe God still wants us to wear them for public worship.

I might not write too often, but I love checking up on you. When not in use, they look nice on the hatstand in our entryway. My husband has a few hats he wears too-picture men's hats from the 1940s (and, yes he removes it in church!)

We saw an historic look at hats on a TV news program last year, during the spring racing season. It was interesting. Apparently hats for women fizzled out as a fashion in the 1960s, when beehive hairdos became popular. Then whichever Pope was in charge at the time (No I'm not Catholic)gave women permission not to have to wear hats to Church anymore, and this filtered through all the Protestant churches as well. Back in my grandparents' day you wouldn't step outside without a hat.
The children's hats pictured are super cute too-Can you tell I love hats!!
ClaireFather's Grace Ministrieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04681216281555397172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9968516.post-67138701432875306272011-03-07T15:04:10.184-05:002011-03-07T15:04:10.184-05:00HAHA!
