Some families do believe in infant baptism and we do have baptisms at our church...and then others are the opposite and follow the credobaptism/communion belief.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17605260686118464640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9968516.post-21493534527539187542011-02-04T15:31:29.553-05:002011-02-04T15:31:29.553-05:00Worth the wait. You have put so much of yourself out there and it is an imposition on my part. But I admire you in a lot in many ways and I would especially like to know your choices in books, music, art and so on. A day in the life of your home school would really be lovely.

Thank you.
A (a shy lurker)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9968516.post-73529664571310079602011-02-03T23:28:45.908-05:002011-02-03T23:28:45.908-05:00I appreciated this so much, Rebecca. ...I appreciated this so much, Rebecca. Thank you.

I know what you mean about not fitting into any particular "box", when it comes to denominations . I recently told a little piece of our own local church's story when it comes to this subject (on my blog).
"We are all on a journey", our pastor always says.

There will always be personal memorial stones in our history together as a family and as a local church that no other local church has, and that are special to us alone. There are also beliefs we hold and share that unite and make us ONE with the universal church here on earth, the Bride of Christ.

It is truly a mystery.

John and I would definitely agree with you on the part about training our children from a young age to sit still and behave reverently in Church. It most certainly can be done, with consistent perseverance.

I am always uplifted, encouraged, and edified by the things you write here. I think I can hear inbetween the lines your love and respect for your husband, your love for your vocation as wife and mother done in faith unto God, and your tender loving care and Godly vision for your children. It shines through your every post. I receive a lot... and that is why I keep coming back :)
(Your photos, of course, are lovely too.)Leahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02069794229090921826noreply@blogger.com
