What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

This is a monarch chrysalise. It is a pale green color and hard. But if you look closely, you can see some wings from within. The most amazing part of it all is the beautiful gold threads and dots. I was quite taken with those. Isn't it amazing, the smallest details-for no apparent reason. I am in awe of the creativity of the Master. Posted by Picasa

This is beautiful. I think that the beauty of those small, ornate details is the reason; they aren't "functional" in terms of practicality, but they serve an important purpose nonetheless. I love these signs of God's great delight in the act of creating!

Jean~thank you so much! Your comment made my day! All is well here, we are gearing up for our 'baby' girl to turn three tomorrow. They get big without permission. :-)

Abby~ it's true. When we think of all the 'extra's' that our creative Creator put into His works, it is amazing. Matt always brings up food-and taste. Why does something NEED to taste good? We would eat it if it were bland if it meant survival and yet we have delicious tastes for our palette.
