What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Picnic Perfect

I have admired this little 'Town Square' every time I came into our small little town. It took almost a year for me to realize it was not an actual building! It is actually just a huge monument representing the hostorical town motel that used to reside there. It is not just a little 'park' and a bit of beauty on the corner.

I have wanted to take a few pictures of it before, and with the sun being so beautiful and warming-and it being lunchtime and all. Well, it just felt right.

This is very precious.

Wondering what is meant by... "the historical town motel that used to reside there." Wonder what made it 'historic'? It's not often that one sees a huge monument built, to a motel. :-)

The plaque on the wall said that an old hotel was there but was burned down. Instead of putting up a present day business, they wanted to keep the historic feel so they recreated the hotel outside (it is just a brick wall that hides the businesses on either corner...) and made it into a little 'park'.
