I had packed the children lunches already but grabbed some 'fast trash' for myself and had ourselves a picnic! It was the first time I have ever had a picnic on concrete, I think, but it was a fun change of pace. I think I might have enjoyed it as much as the children! The sunshine sure does do a body good!

What fun! I am so glad you took the time to do this. I took Luke for his first ice cream cone today. It is 78 degrees outside. Have to enjoy it while we have it. This is March and we are in Indiana!!!
So what are they thinking about with your health?
I will be seeing your mom on her birthday!!! I am flying in by myself. I am so excited. I have to help her celebrate 50 years of life.
How fun! I am glad that y'all had a great time. Blessings! I really love your town; it is so quaint and cute.
Who took this shot? It appears that you are holding up a camera at your seat taking a photo, while this photo was being taken? Or were you doing something else, like shading your eyes from the sun?
Kelli and Christine~my town has its quaint spots and bits of charm if you look for them, but over all, it is just a humdrum town. I am thankful I live on the OUTSKIRTS and travel in looking for beauty rather than living within.

The catscan showed abnormal thickening in the lower intestine and the Doctor is worried I might have Chrone's diease. Additional testing (oh yay!) is needed to verify that. I don't know much about that except that it is chronic and that is enough for me to NOT want it. The doc also says I have a viral infection which just needs to run its course and resolve ittself. It is an and/or situation. I might have both, the viral thing may be creating all the symptoms. We shall see.
Mom called me yesterday to gush about your birthday surprise for her...and what a SPECIAL surprise it is! Oh-won't you two have SO much fun! You really made my Mom feel special. She loves you so!
PS-I know it sounds silly since I have young children of my own, but I really do look forward to my Grandma days. I am going to be a Grandma like you-that spends lots of time with the grandkids, enjoying them and showing that I care by being with them. Luke will not forget these special times you make for him. They are very important and I think you are just great!
Elizabeth~I took the shot with the selftimer on the fence. I must have been wiping the hair out of my face from the wind whipping it in there, that's all. I wish I would have asked someone to take a REAL picture of all of us-but I wasn't brave enough. Oh well.
You beat us to the first picnic of the season, too, along with the sunburn! What a great idea.
