What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Anyone hungry?!?

Just thought I would let you know...

My new blog, Kitchen Riches is up and running. It still needs a few tweaks but it is mostly there.

I will try cataloging all the recipes I have posted here at Renaissance in the next few days. I will let you know when I update NEW recipes. Soon enough, I am sure!

In the meantime, head over and check it out.

AS you will see...even with that seemingly easy tutorial (thanks, Leendalu!), I still couldn't figure out how to make a photo header. I made up for it in the sidebar though! All in all, I am proud that I could figure out as much as I did. Trust me-that is an accomplishment!

Let me know what you think!

Christine and Leendalu~thanks so much for the positive feedback. I am particularly proud of it because I did it 'all by myself' as Corynn would say. Just having a recipe blog has inspired me to make up some new recipes so...that huungry bit-won't be an issue! ;-)

Mari Nanci~ that's it. I am not talking to you. Ever again.

Ha ha. Just kidding.

No worries-how it looks is how it is going to stay. The only 'tweaks' of mine is my putting links in each of the categories to take you to all other recipes that share that category.

So you see-nothing VISUALLY will change.

As for Renaissance, I wonder if some of the slowness to which you refer is caused just by the sheer VOLUME of PHOTOGRAPHS I post regularly? It is slower on my computer as well, but I am one of the unlucky few that remains on dial-up so I am sure not many have the problems that I do.

I don't know what to tell you about the freakish cursor jumping. Pity my BLOG houses such a monster...

I love this blog. It is beautiful and actually makes me HAPPY to look at. It reflects some of my personality and loves.

That said~I am REALLY enjoying the recipe blog as well because that reflects a DIFFERENT part of my personality (yes I AM on the verge of being schitzophrenic!)and appeals to my simple/photographic sense of style.

This is my dilemna then. How do I take two entirely different styles and merge them into ONE decorative style? I haven't figured that out yet. As you could tell if you were to visit my ACTUAL home. It is quite ecclectic, to be sure...

Rebecca! Your new blog is FANTASTIC! I love the layout & the white background really helps to focus on the food pictures....as always your personal touches make it perfect! I have already printed the blueberry cake streusel recipe...I hope it turns out, since I majorly bombed when I tried your gravy. But I will keep trying! Again, your new blog (and your old one for that matter) are awesome & are bright spots to my day. Have a wonderful day. Victoria =)

Your blog does take longer to load when on dial-up, but I'm happily not on dial-up (except rarely on vacation). I love all of the pictures. They give me great ideas as I'm a visual person.

Hurrah! I'm glad you've done this; the more recipe blogs, the better.
