Rebecca, your family photos are sweet and fun and I think the ones of you and Matt are *very* professional looking! My favorites are Matt by the tree, you both peeking through the tree and the kissing ones of course...so romantic! I think you did a wonderful job!! Happy Anniversary!
Rebecca, I know that you use this blog as a scrapbook for your family. So, of course, every picture should be posted here. That being said, there are NOT too many pictures of any of you, nor are any distasteful, even if this were NOT a family scrapbook. I love seeing the pictures of the entire family, you alone, Matt alone, and yes, even the two of you kissing. My 8 yr old daughter is looking with me, and she commented on a shot of the two of you kissing. She said what a nice picture it is. Do you know why? Because she sees her parents loving on each other ALL of the time. Unfortunately in our society, dating is portrayed as being fun, and sexy, and marriage is portrayed as being dull, and boring, and anything BUT sexy. Well, I for one would love to see that change.
I believe that married people should show affection for one another no matter who is present. We kiss, hold hands, and yes, Verne even gives my bottom a little pat in front of our children. We want marriage to be appealing to them. We want them to see how much we love and cherish one another.
I'm so glad that you take lots of pictures of yourself. I was called a "dog" for most of my life before meeting Verne, and it has so stuck with me. We have scrapbook after scrapbook of pictures of everyone in the family but me because I am self conscious. My children will have very few photots to remember me by should something happen to me.
Rebecca, those pictures turned out beautiful! I love how you are all wearing white, and I agree with you, the setting is just lovely. I never feel that you post too many pictures, I don't usually have time to comment on them all, but I always have fun looking at the unusual things you photograph and seeing pictures of your gorgeous family. :) And that picture of Andrew with his bum in the air is simply hilarious! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I couldn't see them yesterday either, but I'm glad it's working today! You have a beautiful family and a real talent for photography.
Rebecca---you take wonderful pictures!! And the location looks great! What a fun anniversary idea! We just celebrated our family's 7th---it was fun to incorporate the children as you did.
I would have liked your pictures alot more if you had been wearing a dress with more "coverage". I was viewing your slide show and my husband walked in---I was embarrassed to have to close the window. It seems that the purity of white, the pristine natural beauty of your surroundings and the wonderful love you share with your family was clouded by cleavage. I am unsure whether or not you will understand---but felt that as you asked for feedback---here is some. I am not trying to pick a fight or hurt your feelings, just give you simple feedback.
You are able to set the tone for your family and for your daughter in the area of modesty.
Drawing attention to your body (intentionally or not) simply took the focus off of the family dynamics.
You have the right idea--simple white clothes look great. I have also seen a large extended family photo where everyone (30 family members) wore khaki pants or skirts with black shirts. It really made their faces "pop".
I hope this comes to you with the in the voice I meant---helpful constructive criticism.
Awww, I don't see anything--it is blank for me:(
