On our way home from church, we had the surprise of a lifetime when we saw with our own eyes some escaped mountain goats from a local farm. Matt had heard something or other of some nonconformist goats making their getaway but thought nothing of it until we saw them practically in our own backyard.
I can't get over their scruffy fur and the horns....
Oh MY~the horns! I could lose myself in those beauties
That's Mr. Tumnus there on the right. We look for them every time we leave our driveway, and most often they are there. I hope one day they might venture just a bit further into our yard. Maybe when the apples are falling and the veggies are filling our patch? I might even welcome their nibbles if it means getting a closer look...

How neat! Boy, you've had quite the array of wildlife in your yard!
Our most exciting "Hey!Look!" was a gigantic coyote in the late afternoon. We have a Lab that is about 125 lbs., and this coyote was easily the same size as the him. (our dog)
They are majestic. Your pictures of them are wonderful.
They certainly ARE majestic looking! My kids would've flipped to have seen those things in the back yard, especially Rachel. :) She always wants to chase the squirrels at the park. The squirrels do not feel the same way...
It wasn't actually IN our backyard. They were right before our property. Maybe someday they'll make their way there, though, atleast that is my hope...
I love that top one!
Maybe they'll show up at your house just in time for the harvest.
Matt had better build a mighty fine fence! And maybe a moat. Yes, a moat with spikes and crocodiles might just do the trick...
