What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Good news...

(just the children's books)

My floor is made of brown wood!

And I can see it!

Despite the fact that it has resembled the above photo for the last few days, I can see it!

I've always wondered if one can have TOO many books.....

I think I have found my answer.

What a sweet picture! and no, I don't think you can have too many books either. I am actually getting ready to work on our bookshelves and anticipate a similar look. :)

Thank you for blogging and embracing your role as wife and mother on your blog. You are an inspiration to our family.

Rebecca...if you decide that you DO have too many books, Paperback Swap is a wonderful way to exchange the ones you don't need for current interests or schooling books. I have saved alot of money this year with PBS, and even got my kids' piano books from there! Check it out!

No, you can never have too many GOOD books, and I know you choose wisely, Rebecca.

I can so relate to this picture! Our little twinnies kept attacking our homeschool corner. After nearly eating some schoolwork, it is now kept in the same place in plastic tidy drawers sitting sideways on the shelf-babyproofed and safe. We had one shelf of books they were attacking, and since they weren't board books, we jammed the shelf up with book ends, until they are a little older.

And you have to keep them around too.
My nineteen year old just asked if we still had The Giving Tree. He can't remember how it ends. Oh, of course I still have it on the book shelf. It's a classic, so I'll need it for the (future) grandchildren.
