Foto Friday
This past week's Foto Challenge, had you accepted, was to capture a worthy example of black and white.
I *thought* this was going to be easier than "capturing the wind" but turns out, it wasn't. (For me, anyway.) For "capturing the wind" I had an idea about what I wanted to accomplish and how to do it. It was something I hadn't done and it turned out like I had envisioned.
For "black and white"~ it was harder to pinpoint a way to make an exceptional photo and because I had no vision, it was hard to feel good about how it turned out. Even now, I don't feel like I succeeded in the challenge. I didn't pull off anything exceptional , nevertheless I had a cute model~ so here are more than enough black and white photos to bore you all with this morning.
I know, I know~ enough already! But wait. There are just a *few* more I just couldn't pass up. The fingers, the smiley eyes, the poofy lips, the hesitant expression~ you just can't ask me to ignore them!
Forgive me.
Moving on to another subject: he really isn't as fearsome as he seems.
And finally (I'll wait while you give thanks...), I wanted to approach this challenge from a different angle too, rather than just converting a photo to black and white. So I treated myself to OREOS. (Hey. Any excuse will do!)
Double Stuf (yeah, baby!)
Is it me or am I posting more and more photos on each successive Foto Friday?
You can tell me if it is overkill. Tell me, okay?
Now....let's see those pictures! Who's game?!
In order to participate in these Foto Friday challenges, you must take a photo pertaining to the challenge and post it to your blog (and when you do, please link back to this blog {you may use the button if you like} so that perhaps we can get lots of participants! Because, you know, the more the merrier!) Then simply link to your post with Mr. McLinky here so that we all can visit you and compare notes...
Most importantly~challenge yourself, but HAVE FUN doing it.
PS. KUDOS!!! to you all who are so graciously visiting everyone's blogs and leaving encouraging comments! It is so neat to see as I make my rounds, those who have already visited. I am very impressed with the selflessness you are showing to take a moment to encourage one another and I wanted to let you know I appreciate it and I know the recipients do also! We all could use some encouragement. Keep up the good work! You people are fabulous! But you knew that, didn't you?! ;-)
PPS. THIS week's challenge is: WATER
Oh, dear me, they aren't making it easy on us, are they?!?! :-)

Your kiddos are such good subjects for your photos (as if you needed more encouragement to take pictures of them. lol!) This week was a bit more difficult as I couldn't get my pictures to turn out as I wanted.
Well, they are pictures of two of your kinder, so of course I think they are great! I wish Muffin would cooperate like Miss Adele. I have to distract her most times, otherwise all my pictures are of her lunging for the camera.
Really, though, your photo's are lovely. I love the emotion that comes through in B&W's. You don't get that in colored shots.
PS. WOO-HOO for the water shots! I can't wait t get out to the pond now!
And I can almost TASTE those Oreos, and boy do I want some. Thanks a lot.
The one of Adele looking up with her fluffy collar and ADORABLE cheeks...man oh man! These are SOOOOOOOO sweet! The oreos are yum-o! Great idea!
*shuffles off with guilty look on face to work on photos* :)
SOON I SHALL RETURN!
Happiest Friday!
Amy
PS-You can NEVER, EVER have too many photos! :) Keep 'em coming...bury me in those gorgeous photos! :P
Bonnie~ Adele' lunges too. And squirms. I put her on a baby rocking chair which was not a smart move on my part. I banged on glass, made some crazy weird noises and handed her a votive to hold. (a votive?!? I am not very bright-but it was all that was there!) Oh yeah-and I took like 60 shots. Most were blurry, these were not.
Just keep snapping away at your Muffin and you will get some fab shots eventually. THAT is the joy of digital photography.
Amy~ you'd better! I always love to see your contributions! and thanks for being patient with my gazillion pictures all the time. You're a pal. :-)
Your photos are great. I agree it seems like you have to take about 50 shots to get a few good ones :) I also like the one where the camera is looking up toward Adele. Maybe it is more of the dark background shows therefore more contrast. Anyway they are all wonderful!
I dont know what happened with my link...I did the same thing as last time...oh well! Love all the kiddo shots! Beautiful as usual!
Adele looks so cute!
Thanks for hosting Foto Friday, Rebecca! So fun! Your baby is adorable! What great photos.
I do have to tell you - the reason I found black and white subjects for all my photos and didn't convert any of them is because I don't know how to convert photos to black and white, lol. And the subject in the plaid shirt is a friend of mine, I might have been a little shy to go up and ask a total stranger too!
