So much to be thankful for, this day and every.
- spring color palettes
- cool showers that wash away grime
- an exhausted wee one who plopped herself on the couch and fell right to sleep while Mama cooked supper. A miracle, for her personality.
- workbooks nearly done
- the season of table flowers, how ever modest they may be
- grass weavings of a girl
- Smooch kicks and belly morphs while I watch LIFE under a bellybutton
- a girl who, while I was working in the garden, snuck secretly inside and swept three rooms of the house, tidied toys, washed bathroom sinks and emptied garbages, all for a most elaborate, wonderful surprise for her Mama. No strings attached.
- a Papa, who lets helpers surround
- a working tractor again, after a quiet few months
- a seatful of intent little ears as Mama and Papa tell a tag-team story that lasts all the way home
- "little fairies", what my children call dandelion seeds
- a straw-topped man
- sun glitter
- tasting lips, not beard
- peppermint Rolaids that taste *almost* like candy
- kicking Mattie's butt at checkers, hehehe
- an earth nursery, full of babies
- wild mint expeditions
- minty fresh smiles, a new kind of toothpaste
- splitting the very first homegrown strawberry four ways
- midnight thunderstorms, and children who have no fear
- belly sprouting neglected toes
- that I am here, able to experience these daily bits of grace and beauty.
Gifts numbered 377 to 401 thankfully acknowledged.
What are YOU thankful for????
A garden growing well and good, despite unbelievable rain fall!
ReplyDeleteAnd yours! It looks like it recovered, yes? (the garden, I mean.)
Beautiful photos, every one, and beautiful bits of life.
Looks like you have a beautiful life. (stopping by from the Gratitude Community)
ReplyDeleteIt must already be hot out where you live. i know because of the adorable summer outfit you sleeping little daughter has on. Usually here in Washington we only get a flighting day here and there that is actually warm enough not to have a sweater on, at least until the end of July. Then August and September give us a little summer most years.
ReplyDeleteLove the "humble" flower arrangement. beautiful.
If I were closer I would paint your toes for you!! It was wonderful when someone did them for me when I had a baby belly.
ReplyDeleteLove this list...was working on mine too yesterday, but alas didn't get to put it up...might do my MM on a Tuesday again! ;) Love the photos...love the perspective that you did with your hubby...I really LOVE detail shots!!! :) I was suppose to do my maternity photo shoot yesterday but alas it didn't work out...hopefully, soon...I can't wait to see what you think about them. I did get some good ideas on flickr! :) Sorry about double posting my greedy comment about the photo contest TWICE...I tried originally to leave a comment but blogger was being buggy and so I put it on your little chat box...then I saw it came up on your comments...sheesh! *blushing* Oh and you asked about the other preggo lady with me in my scrapbook layout...I left a comment on my post but she is my SIL! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a LOVELY Tuesday, Rebecca! :)
