AND YET.
The baby got fed. School got done in RECORD time, with record smiles. Baby got fed. I caught the bunny (both living and dust). 52 pick up is a fun game for a not-quite-two year old. Clothes to put away means clean clothes to wear. And absence makes the heart grow fonder.
It's all in how you look at things.
Looking at the otherside of the coin today, revolting against my natural inclination.
There is SO much good.
(If I can muster nothing else for the week, I am glad for this time of blogging especially. A wonderful summary of my very blessed weeks, each and every one.)

Lovely, Rebecca!! Judah is sooooo sweet! :) Love clothesline shot!! :) I might just have to rush the load of wash out to mine now! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, friend!!!
It's true -- it's all in how you look at it! Murmurin and complaining only robs us from seeing all the many blessings God bestows upon us. Thank you for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for posting pictures of the kiddos for me to see. Give hugs all around for me.
Beautiful Bits Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteI too delight in the "Can I hold you" request. Oh yes, please, until the very end.
ReplyDeleteI also love baby burps, so sweet.
I'm counting His gifts as well.
Thank you...
ReplyDeleteFor being brave enough to share your most private moments.
For saying things no one else will say.
For being grateful for the littlest things that mean the absolute most.
I find wonder, awe, envy, strength, courage, and gratitude in the words you share.
Mostly I'm grateful...that you have the life you have and that you share it's beauty with anyone willing to take the time to read. I'm willing and it always gives me something to aim for.
Hugs,
Julie
I still look at my ring too, after almost fourteen years, and I especially love that my husband of fourteen years loves to hold me too.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you say things.
I love the picture of you kissing Judah in the sunshine.
Love.
Beautiful (deep sighs)
ReplyDeleteSmiles all around! I love reading your lists of blessings. it makes me so much more aware of how blessed i am. a reminder to not take life for granted. to rejoice in all every way God has blessed us. to not just look at the "spectacular" but to realize the most humble is the SPECTACULAR! God is so good to me, giving me more than i ever desired. The fact that He willingly gave his Son so that i might have eternal live with him is breath taking. and HIS SON willingly gave his life for me... something i too often take for granted or simply overlook!!!
ReplyDeleteThank You! :)
These blessing lists are a wonderful reminder from week to week of God's grace toward us, aren't they? It's easy to get discouraged when we forget His grace, but so EASY to be encouraged when we stop to think of all the blessings that He bestows.
ReplyDeleteJust so's you know- you're on my list of want to meet people, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot to comment earlier that I LOVE the photo of Judah nursing. Brings back such good memories. Oh, to hold a baby in my arms and nurse them once again. Cherish these days- they don't last near long enough!
Love those big baby eyes :) They are so precious :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post... As usual. Inspiring... as usual! Lovely photos, as usual! CAn you tell I love your blog?
