Forgive me for using an older photo this week~ I *did* have good reason. This photo from my archives reminds me it has been too long since I have taken a good bird shot. Tsk, Tsk.
Time to share your favorite photo of the week!
Fine Print::
The idea behind Foto Friday is to share a favorite photo that was taken the week prior. My hope is that it encourages us all to get behind the camera more often, to seek beauty out and new perspectives, and that it forces us to challenge ourselves and our photo-taking skills to soar to new heights all the while, having crazy fun.
Though a theme/challenge is not a requirement for sharing a photo, I will give a challenge SUGGESTION every week for those that want to push the envelope in their photography. I can not promise I will follow through with the suggestions myself, but I will be trying them on occasion. :-) Feel free to use the suggested challenge or create a challenge of your own, and if the mere act of picking up the camera is challenge enough-feel free just to post your favorite photograph of the week! In fact, sharing the best QUALITY photo is better than following the challenge if it is either/or.
Please put the specific blog link in the Mclinky when sharing photos, and if you would~ add the Foto Friday button (on sidebar) to your post. The more that participate, the merrier.
Have FUN!!!

For those so inclined, a good challenge for this coming week is Valentine . Any lovey dovey or red, or hearts, or couples shots will do. :-)

That's an amazing shot, who cares if it's from your archives!!! :) Hope you are feeling better! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that Jay! :-) The snow on his nose! What kinda lens did you use? Or were you close to him? :)
ReplyDeleteclose to him. I took that picture, um...years ago, when I made a wildlife tree on the other side of the glass sliding doors in our kitchen and lured the birds in with food. I am a sneaky one, I am. I no longer have a sliding glass door. I DO have a cat, who I fear might take advantage of any lured close birds so I haven't even tried to get bird shots anymore. But this shot makes me want to try again.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! That is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat's just beautiful! When we were visiting my parents, I wanted to get some pictures of the Stellar's Jays that hang out on the feeder outside their window. . . but it never happened. That shot is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteFabulous picture! I absolutely love birds in winter. Especially when they can be photographed from the warmth of my kitchen. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am horrid at bird shots, but I'm always amazed at yours.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful shot! Isn't he funny with the snow on his nose?
ReplyDeleteWe feed our squirrels and birds. If the squirrels are fast (and lucky) they get to the peanuts before the jays do. The jays are so funny. They will actually pick up a peanut (in the shell) and shake it, then keep doing this until (I think) they find the heaviest one. They are pretty, but they are brats!
Ooh, I love this.
ReplyDeleteWe have a feeder right by the big living room window, and we haven't had troubles with the outdoor cats or dog, so I'd say go for it, especially if we get to enjoy the photographic results.
