Really hot.
And since we don't have air conditioning....the only reprieve is water.

In any and every way, shape, and form~ we'll take it!
I got a sheet of plastic from the garage and made a waterslide for the children. Very redneck, with the carboys as weights and all.
The children think I am brilliant.
And yes, I totally slipnslided myself. I won't be showing you a picture of that.
You're welcome.

looks fun!
hehe, that's fun! last year we made a slip and slide from a tarp. ;) My sister christened it the Tarp Torpedo and had the honor of doing the first run down. . . she chose to do the head first on belly launch - and yeah. We discovered the momentum created exceeded the distance of the tarp. . . . after much modification and addition of other tarps, it worked pretty good!
Brilliant!

What a great time, and mom!
...what I think is i'm completely enjoying your blog.I don't have time to comment on each post, but if I did, I totally would.
love it here!
Oh, I wish it would get hot around here! Even though I just posted about "Summertime" we really haven't had much summer yet. I want some HEAT!!! So we can SLIP-N-SLIDE!!! And SWIM!!! ANd BASK!!! (Although I don't think I'm brave enough or fun enough to slip-n-slide myself. Did I ever tell you what a "fun mom" you are? Even if we don't get to see your slip-n-slide pic. Schucks.)
We plan to do a 100' slip-n-slide for our kids' birthday bash in a couple of weeks that is so very similar to yours! ;)
Come on, just one pic? PUH-LEEZE?? :) (I'm already chuckling at the mental picture)
Love the water slide!! What a fun way to cool off. We're in the midst of major hot as well.
BTW, I sent you an email about the Wilson conference to the yahoo address. If you didn't get it, just let me know & I'll resend it!!
I would say enjoy the heat, but I know better :)!!!
Enjoy it! Some of us in Washington would wish we had some heat. You are so creative with the water slide idea.
You, my dear, are nothing short of BRILLIANT (not to mention the "funnest" of all Mamas!!! I am sure my kids covet you kiddo's childhood.
Keep up the good work. Oh yeah, and the pics are fabulous!
Hot hugs to all.
We tried that growing up, with mixed success. Perhaps the cinder blocks anchoring the edges had something to do with it...
