I curse the creatures who steal from my garden and spoil my hard work.
And then...
I get them face to face and turn all mushy.
First a
woodchuck.
Now a mole.
Only this time, the "sweet little thing" turned out to be vicious.
I was never more thankful for having fabric between myself and a creature before. Don't let that face fool you....Moles sure can BITE!
Ouch!
ReplyDeleteWe're in the midst of racoons and a coyote going after apples at the moment. (We can't eat the apples)
What a cute picture of such a destructive little bugger! My hubby would NOT LIKE THIS PICTURE!!! ;) Our yard is one giant pit from these fellows! :)
ReplyDeleteJust talking with a relative the other day about moles! Supposedly a stick (not chewed!) of Juicy Fruit Gum down in the hole, (then cover it back up)will "gum up their insides". I don't know if it works, but cheap enough to give it a try! They really are quite cute, though! My cat catches and kills the ones we have.
ReplyDelete=^..^=
Yikes. Do you have to get a rabies shot from mole bites?
ReplyDeleteNo worries Hollace~ it didn't bite ME. It bit the towel I was holding it with, with such a vengeance that it would dangle upside down as I held the towel. When it let go, it met its demise.
ReplyDeleteI will think twice about scooping up moles next time.
First woodchucks, now moles ??
ReplyDeleteSomeday not IF, WHEN you post picture of a mouse please put a warning for your readership that are squicked out by them so they can skip it. I am begging, not above that :)
