It was 100 degrees that day.
We did not sweat~we dripped. All day long.
5:30pm Mattie dear announces a spontaneous (spontaneous? MATT?) trip to the lake.
I quickly make a batch of lemonade and boil some macaroni, then fill an old ice cream container with anything I can find in the fridge and from the garden.
I toss the jar of homemade jerky in the basket too, since the Mr. has a meat fetish and can't seem to live without it.
10 minutes, we are gone.
We swam. We ate. We got cooled off. We laughed. We played hangman and wondered at the weirdness of the dead.
I mean, musclemen are one thing. But sweet, little girls? How messed up is that?
It was a good day.
I love spontaneity.

I think our men are a lot alike! We had a day very similar to yours this year too. My husband is not exactly the fly by your seat of the pants kind of guy. So it makes it all the more special.
Your pictures are absolutely lovely, as always. :o)
i agree 10 min and 4 kids WOW... must help when they get older too : ) my 8 month old seems to be a perfect reason to be 10 min late all the time, even when i prep a half hour ahead of time... i need to work on efficiency!
and side note from the other days comments.. type in google "easy brownie recipe" its the one with the basics of cocoa powder, eggs, butter, oil... yummy yummy yummy, just make sure its really easy one! then tweak from there it has not failed me yet!
