We hoped for three weeks to do home improvements before we began 'the MOVE'. Then a week and a half had to be devoted to just getting the house EMPTY.
I thought a full three weeks time would would be a challenge; a week and a half is impossible.
But we are cramming as much into those few days as possible.
We wake up early, work all day through, and come home well past bed time and carry the children up to their beds asleep. We then collapse into bed ourselves. I have worn the same paint speckled pants the entire week.
But contact paper is being ripped up. Floors are being revealed, for better or worse. And we are finding, paint covers a multitude of sins.

I have been following you on this marvelous journey! Oh the lessons one can learn from a stranger, yet someone who I would name a friend.
I have enjoyed seeing the progress you have made.
On another random note, I enjoy peeking into your life, for me, a city girl, reading your blogs is like reading a fairy tale. I WISH I HAD YOUR LIFE!! It looks so beautiful, country, ANIMALS, learning and growing the very way God intended each of us to do.
May you be richly blessed through this experience. And may your family be richly blessed with the many memories this journey will give you!
Your dear reader,
LauraD
Rebecca, it looks like that boy of yours is definitely pulling his share of the weight. And you look absolutely undaunted and determined to get the best of that contact paper!
Love you & praying for you,
Hooray! Now, really quick, page back a few posts and see how far you've come! No discouragement allowed! ;) You've done wonderful work together as a family! Just think of the memories you're making! :)
Hopestead is looking good. Before long you will be laughing at these days!
Hugs...
Okay, Matt's mask is freaking me out with all that dust clogged in it. From ripping out carpets?
Everything is looking good though! Kinda like some of that blue and white contact paper,do you still on to move the last week of October? And if mid-collapse you have a moment, I'll need your new address too.... (e-mail it).
"do you still on?" How about *are*
Oct. 31st it is Bonnie!
Rebecca, Hopestead is looking so good! I love the picture of you pulling off the many layers of contact paper. :P And it must be nice not to need a ladder to reach the top of the wall. ;)
I'm going to be sitting down to right you a letter this afternoon/evening. I'll look for a new address on a future letter from you. :)
Do you know what's great?
Seeing that the children were able to use that long-handled roller BEFORE I broke it. What a relief.
(Also, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get to your older posts. Archives? Also, again, I just accidentally clicked on that picture of Matt in the mask, and it filled the entire screen, large and lifelike and threatening. He should keep it right next to his rifle to scare away intruders.)
