What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther
Drooling on the keyboard. Looks SOOOO much better than the lentil soup we're having (I happen to love lentil soup, but not today) And I must know what is in that bread.
caraway, m'dear.
Aaahh. Now I'm craving egg salad on rye.
Looks delish! Would you share the recipe?
Recipe please???(Is that ham I see? Yum. And did you make that awesome looking (rye?) bread?)
Wow! Not only does the food look delish, but I just adore your photos, woman! :)
Yum!
I didn't really keep track of it the soup-making well enough to give a recipe but here is a run-down. Just boiled dried 15 bean soup bag for an hour in ham broth. Then added chopped onion, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, lemon juice, chili powder, pepper, a touch of cumin and lots of ham and simmered it for another hour or so. That dollop of white is sour cream which I can't really decide if it was better with or without. The bread I can't take credit for. But I DID warm it in the oven so that the outer crust was super crispy and the innards melted butter. YUM.
Homemade Soup and warm Bread--My favorite dinner to make and eat.Especially with any kind of bean involved. Or evolved.
