We got chickens last spring and I was suprised by the difference in color... and we were buying organic eggs and they still weren't the right color... :) You just can't beat fresh eggs!!! So yummy. I have to say I was pretty sick of the chickens when they stopped laying and were just messing and eating like crazy, but now that they are laying again I'm good to go, haha!
Nothing like fresh, fluorescent eggs! We need to get some new chicks or laying hens this spring. Our chickens are getting older so not laying as well and need to be replaced.
Do your chickens lay all through winter? We are getting new chicks in spring :-) since a coon got ours in fall :-(, but last winter the chickens quite laying for a couple months.
I see your eggs are smiling in agreement. I heartily concur. (and this just might be the year I can finally twist a certain arm far enough.)
