What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

The "Library Ladies' Brunch in the Garden" Party

Two of the ladies couldn't make it after all, making an intimate gathering even more intimate.  It was a really, really nice time.

The menu:

Vegetable quiche
Sausage quiche
Hashbrown Casserole
Cinnamon chip scones with apple butter
Sausage and Bacon Breakfast Bites
Fresh Blueberries
Blueberry Buckle

Peppermint Tea and Lemonade

There was garden wandering, drinks in mason jars, a dozen bouquets cut from my flower circle, my beloved barrel, burlap table runners, glittered butterflies made by Corynn, postcard favors, vintage blue canning jars (borrowed from my mother-in-law) for vases, white cloth napkins, my usual blue tablecloths and plenty of good conversation.  Thanks to being done a few minutes earlier than the guests arrived, there was even last-minute little food flags.

My only lament (I remembered just as they were driving back down the road) was not showing them my hall of books- librarians, you'd think, would like to see that.

It looks like the kind of party I'd like to attend. And yes, I would've liked to have seen your books, too. Corynn's butterflies are lovely!

Sigh. If only I were within driving distance. And a librarian. :P

(Love your creative use of Mason jars. I have hundreds. I should get them out more often.)

What a beautiful lunch and we love libraries including librarians as well!! My favourite part time job I had while I was studying at uni was working in the library!
How I would love to visit and wander through your garden. Thanks for allowing us a little glimpse here !
Blessings
