What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Bowls are Not for Bathing

Ineke seems so small...but when I got out the cute red and white enamel washbin for her first at-home bath, I realized she clearly ISN'T.  She wasn't shy in showing her disgust either.

For the record, she loves baths now that her Mama gives her a more spacious SINK instead of a cereal bowl in which to bathe.

Bliss is a warm, soothing bath! What a precious baby girl. Also, I was watching a movie Sunday evening that had been filmed in Holland, as I watched the credits I noticed the name Ineke several times. And I knew how to pronounce it. Is it a family name of yours?

She looks like a cross between Adele and Andrew :) But they all look alike so she will probably favor all her siblings as she grows. So Sweet.

I saw the picture with her in the bowl, not so pleased, and thought, "How precious!" Thanks for sharing!

Sweet face! I love her name, too. I am blessed to know a great young woman named Ineke. I have watched her grow from a girl to a lady in the past ten years and she is a delight to behold and a true blessing. I am sure your little Ineke will be the same. :)

She is really really cute but if you don't post a picture of her with her eyes open soon I might go crazy.

Rozy Lass- While my mother is Dutch, I don't believe we have an Ineke in her family. When Matt and I were first married we had a Dutch family in our church who had the most adorable little children- the youngest a sweet girl that reminded me so much of myself when I was a little girl and her name was Ineke. I thought at that time if I ever had a girl, I would love a little Ineke. We chose other names for our other girls because choosing a name that is hard for Americans to read/pronounce makes things more difficult so we opted for easier names at the time but since we may not get another chance...we threw caution to the wind and got ourselves an Ineke! ;-)

Anonymous- I know just what you mean. The fact is, this child is a little sloth and sleeps her days (and nights!) away. My mother came for a visit yesterday and Ineke slept through the WHOLE time (hours). She has only seen her eyes open for a few minutes once and this girl is already over a month old. Ridiculous!
