Homemade pizza nights...home canned sauce, homemade mozzarella, freshly ground wheat berries stretched into dough. It sounds impressive but it never seems impressive when the making of two pies every Friday night in a 500 degree oven is warming the house up in winter.
But homemade pizza night is pretty impressive indeed when done on a blazing 94 degree day.
It is when my skin has a layer of sweat shimmer, the homemade butter is a puddle on the counter, the kids are all begging for freeze pops and I am getting the oven (and kitchen) to smokin' hot when I think....

"Wow. I am making homemade pizza tonight! Buying a pizza would have been so much more fun. But I did it anyway because I've got gumption! "
I give myself a little mental pat on the back and then, I melt into a puddle.

Try them on the grill!
YES! try the grill!
I have tried grilling pizza and was never terribly keen on it. For me, it was exchanging a hot kitchen for a hot person because you have to be on top of the grill the whole time- baking, flipping, adding toppings. Maybe I did it wrong? But I was more sweaty with pizza grilling than any other pizza making. :/
