What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

A secret obsession

You have seen these trees before and you will, no doubt see them again. Near to our home there is a huge field that stretches as far as your eyes will take you. They are slightly elevated from us so they are also the horizon line. And among these fields, perfectly spaced are about five trees.

Matt tells me that these trees are a particular variety (I can't remember what kind) but that it is illegal to cut them down because they are rare.) He could be fooling me (he often does) OR I could have gotten my story wrong (which often happens) but the POINT of this lesson is, that having perfectly equidistant trees spanning the horizon surrounded by fields just entrances me. I love their simple beauty. So, I fear there will be many more pictures of these beauties! (Someday, I hope to take one of ALL five of them, but that would require a telephoto lens-something I don't have. :-) ) Posted by Picasa

I love the silohuette of the lone tree against the big sky! I'm not quite sure why I'm so fascinated, but I always have been. I think maybe it is because the great details of the tree are drawn out by the starkness of the sky- in any case I love this shot!

I love the photo I think it is pretty just a tree by itself.
