What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Who wudda thunk?

The other day I received a very surprising comment (a WONDERFUL surprise!) on one of my posts and after that, a follow up email from Peggy at Home Made Simplicity saying that I had been nominated and CHOSEN as her 'Diamond in the Rough' HOME MADE feature blog for the month of January. Out of 78 nominations...I was chosen!!! You can see Peggy's very kind review when you click here.

I am still not exactly sure why I deserve such an honor- or how admittedly redundant and excessive photographs of my kiddos (and other loves) could make me stand out, but I AM truly honored and thankful for this wonderful compliment to my blog and thus, to me.

Knowing that there are a few who enjoy popping into 'my world' every now and again is the greatest compliment to me, and the friendships that have been created/strengthened by this blog are so invaluable to me, especially since our move this past year.

I hate to sound like a Grammy award winner or something (though I am so proud I feel like one!), but I would like to thank Peggy for choosing me to be her feature blog-you really made my day (okay-I admit it...week!). And an extra-special THANK YOU to you Anne (from Backyard Treasures) for nominating me. Without your kind words and thoughtfulness, I never would have guessed that this blog was thought of as anything more than a proud Mama's photo journal. You have both given me a great honor: complimenting not only my blog, but who I am. Thank you for that. Thank you so much.

And to all of my friends out there, who leave me comments every now and again, thank you so much for being a part of my life and for the encouragement you give so freely. Each of you brighten my day and warm my heart.

A well written review!!! Congratulations Rebecca...this is one of the "fruits" of your "labor". I enjoy your blog as well and would have recommended your blog for a contest such as this!

I can see why you have won. I, too, enjoy going to your blog. I don't think that I had the energy that you have, but I like to think so.

Enjoy your celebrity status. You have earned it. Keep up the fun, entertaining, and insightful write ups in your blog. I will return. And, congratulations!!!!
