Three's Company
Friday was spent with me running around like a chicken with my head cut off preparing for company. Bathrooms to clean, beds to make, cookies to bake, floors to vacuum, toys to tidy, and the list goes on. All morning long Corynn heard me say, " Not now Corynnn" "Go play with your brother Corynn". (When in my mind I was thinking: AHHH! JUST GET OUT OF MY HAIR so I can DO this!") It seemed everything I did, I had to do OVER again because Corynn was 'helping'. I vacuumed and then Corynn dragged a handmade basket over the carpet, trailing pieces of dust and bark all over. I swept and washed the kitchen floor and she fed Andrew some of her soup-each spoonful feeding the FLOOR-not her brother. So-I admit it. I am no saint. And my 'Bad Mama' personality rears her ugly head every now and again. Finally, I knew we BOTH needed a fun break so we headed outside for a walk. Refreshing for ALL.

The visit with my sister and her family was wonderful, as I knew it would be. Too short though. Shopping, UNO, hugs, good eats, and most importantly playing catch-up. How could you NOT have fun? Following are a *few* pictures from the weekend and a couple recipes. Enjoy!

I think all of us mommies have these kinds of days. It is just nice to know we are not alone. I am glad you enjoyed your visit. you are lucky to have a sisiter!
Well, I am certainly glad I am not the only one who has big green monster days. Thankfully, they are shortlived. Thankfully for ALL involved...
Hurrah for visits with family! I just caught up on commenting on your blog. I left fewer comments than I would normally because I don't know if you go back and read comments on old posts, but know that I enjoyed all the color and stories and snapshots (of course!). I, too, am a monster mother more often than I like to admit. Oh, yes, and I also use the affectionate term "stinkpot" with my children. (Got it from Mopsy, who probably got it from Grandma.)
What a great picture! Don't worry, we all have our Bad Mama moments!
Hugs,
Kelli
