I swear...as he shaved off his beard, he also shaved off the years. He lost about 10 years just by shaving! I definately don't feel so much like he robbed the cradle now or that I was married to my dad!
The finished product and what a FINE speciman it is...
It is so nice to become reacquainted with his face! That sounds really dumb, I know, but you don't really realize how much a beard masks. I sortof forgot about his cute little chin, or the shape of his lips, or his sexy half-grin he gives sometimes. Why? Because his beard covered it all up! I am really going to enjoy these next six months or so! Hurray for shedding!
My husband's ancestry includes quite a bit of native american...he is unable to grow a beard. When we go on vacation he boycots shaving, and gets a little fuzzy. However, it would never grow into a full beard, too many bare spots. Even wehn we are not on vacation he only shaves 2-3 times a week. I did not know before we were married that a his lack of extra hair was a blessing...but it is! I like the smoothness of his...face.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy having your younger hubbby back!
Blessings-Andie
That is one good-lookin' dude!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you like him without a beard. It is the opposite in this family. I told him if he shaved it again, I would divorce him. He did it twice in our married life of 34 years. In Singapore when he did it, the kids didn't recognize him. I love my bearded man!
ReplyDeleteAH-but Mr. Bibby cares for it well...keeps it trimmed up nicely and doesn't let it sprawl down his neck either...
ReplyDeleteBeards are wonderful on men when they are trimmed nicely and kept short.
But even then, I will still always prefer to feel his skin.
Wow! What a difference! Can he talk my man into shaving his goatee?? I'm so over it! lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Mere
no way Mere. If it weren't for me, Matt would have a beard down to his knees by now probably, no chane he would ever encourage anyone to shave! :-)
ReplyDeleteI can truly relate on how you feel now that your husband's beard is gone...lol! My husband always grows a beard for those cold winter days and then shaves it off in the warmer weather. I still have a bit longer to wait...lol!
ReplyDeleteI like little goaties, but I must say that I prefer clean shaven too.
ReplyDeleteRebecca - could you not bribe your DH to shave??? Money, dessert.....Or bi-annual birthday just for him! Just kidding! LOL!
Enjoy your smooth man!
Cheers, Wilm
I was thinking the same as you - TEN years AT LEAST!! My man grew a beard this past fall - I've gotten used to it and actually like it, but it's aged him,as well.
ReplyDeleteIn the 'A Little Less' part, the first B&W, he kinda looks like Johnny Deep!
ReplyDeleteBTW, LOVE THE APRON! So pretty!
Olivia
I always tell John he's so much happier after he shaves, because I notice the small, constant smiles that his hair usually obscures.
ReplyDeleteMatt looks good, but in the interests of my husband, I will say he looks less like a man.
There. I've done my duty to the head.
LOL, My hubby still has his beard and has had this one for 3 years. :-) I LOVE it his is so soft. But like your dh looks so very different when shaved!!
ReplyDeletekinda reminds me of a STP song. Lyrics go: "I'm half the man I used to be", but my bias is my massive beard......great photography!
