  1. My goodness he look so different! You should take and then post some more pictures of the two of you.

Also, thanks for your wonderful comments on the girls' room. I wanted to tell you, here's an idea for decorating: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/lv_wall_coverings/article/0,2041,DIY_14133_2270741,00.html

If you found a fabric that you really liked you could do some cut outs on the wall. With coordinating curtains out of the same fabric. Just an idea. :-)

  2. Tell Matt he looks younger without the beard. My husband has had them, too, and I'm not crazy about them. (I like a moustache, though!)

  3. PS...thanks for explaining what a 'unit study' is. You homeschooling moms have some learning of your own to do, don't you? Learning to be teachers!
I had asked about Corynn's age because I was worried you were trying too hard when she is so young. Your answer tells me that isn't so...but you did sound somewhat frustrated in the earlier post! Don't want you tearing your hair out when your daughter probably has 98% of her life ahead of her. (You do realize your kids could live well past 100, don't you?)
You don't have to go out and buy a mancala game. Use an empty egg carton and some Legos or any other small object--you'd need about 72 (pennies come to mind). I'm sure you can find out how to play from the internet, or even from some friends with older kids. If not, I'll explain it--it's very easy and fun.

  4. John always shaves "creatively," too. Last week, he shaved and swaggered out with bushy chops on his face and a big swath of hair missing on the top of his head. The girls love it, but I'm always leery that he'll keep it that way for a bit. Once in Buffalo, he kept chops for a week, and sometimes he'll keep a horrible, drooping bush of 'stache for the same amount of time.

Matt, at least, looks presentable, especially with the Chaplin look. Quite dashing for anyone, let alone a dairyman.
