I am REBECCA, here me roar.

My husband Matt enraptures me; his kisses are the fuel that keep me going.

Our love gave birth to joy. Four times so far.

Joy named:

Corynn

Andrew

Adele'Judah

We lead strange lives to most modern American families, (we have COWS for goodness sake! and I won't even mention the HOMESCHOOLING! egads!) yet we wouldn't want it any other way. It is all rather delightful really.

Except when I have to haul five gallon water buckets from home to barn a half dozen times in two feet of snow. (just sayin'.)

I have been known to make my children do crazy things in front of the camera for the sake of a good challenge.

I have been known to do crazy things myself in front of the camera come to think of it!

I have many good intentions that never get done because instead of being productive, I am blogging.

I will never give up desserts or feel guilty about eating them. Though, I probably should.

I have a good hair day once every three years or so.

Matt only calls me "Rebecca" when I am in trouble, the rest of the time he calls me sugarbear. I love that.

I *LOVE* quotes but can never actually quote anybody without botching it up horrendously. I hate that about myself.

Though I have confident airs to the unsuspecting, only my husband knows the insecure little monster that takes up residence 24 hours a day.

I fail miserably at being who I want to be/ought to be more often than not...but I am still trying.

And through it all I am forgiven.

And this blog is where I write about it ALL...... every last bit of it. WITH photos.

~~~~~~~~~
Thank you to all of you who share in my joys and encourage me in my struggles. This blog wouldn't be half as much fun without you. So thankful for you all.
  4. Every reason you listed is why I love this blog, and as I have said before, I probably would not have ever started blogging (which I love) if I had not found yours years ago.
    Thank you Rebecca.
    (And I too will never give up desserts or feel guilty about eating them.)
  5. Hi! I'm stopping by from the UBP - trying to visit all on the link for Christian blogs by the end of the day (but I'm not going straight down the list so I still have quite a few to go!). I'm #73 (Being Made New - http://tinahollenbeck.blogspot.com) on that list; I hope you might be able to pop in at my place sometime soon.
  9. love the photos and your "myself" . though i do half the things you do, i'd never write about them with half as much clarity and grace, thats why i follow your blog.. to get me more into the 'grace' mindset. thanks for blogging, even in the midst of such busyness.
  11. Amy~ Those flowers are called bluebells and I believe are sometimes called cowbells too. I found huge patches of them last year while going walking---right near our house in the woods! I had never seen them before so I looked them up.
    The unopened buds are purple/pink but turn blue when they open and they are amazingly translucent and soft in real life. Very fragile looking. Pictures just don't do them justice.
    And actually... I think I found you through a blog hop last year and it might have just been THIS one. Heh...
    Take care!
  14. Stopping by from UBP, haven't had much time this week to look at different blogs because we have lots of new farm babies here. We have cows too and we homeschool. Love all your pictures!
  15. I don't comment much... just preferring face to face, but I did want to say that I get so much from your blog. I would rather be a neighbor who could pop over and glean from you, but since Florida doesn't so much border your area... I'll have to just peep in from the blog. :)
    For those who don't want to live like the typical family in our culture, it is a huge support to see your compasion and convictions expressed here. Though I know your blog is for your own family record, it is strength building to others (my family).
    We live on a college University campus - my husband directs a dormatory, so we are far from our dream of a farm. It is a delight to visit yours often.
    And lastly, I wanted to thank you for some of the home education resources from last year. I ended up getting The Well Trained Mind and have enjoyed it so very much. It was incredibly helpful in tweaking our school days.
  16. Hello and so nice to meet you. Your blog is lovely, and unique, just like your family. Love your photos, I see why you need the disclaimer, they are so tempting, even for us Christians who read the Word. Let Him who stole, steal no more. But what I really want to ask is, can we come to your house for a field trip?
