I LOVE book lists!! Mine just grew over the past two days, thanks to you and your "commenters" :o) I noticed the Jerry Bridges book is on your 'to read' list. That is a fantastic, convicting, and humbling book. I loved it. I underline with pencil as I read books like that and I think I underlined every word in that book except for "is, and, but, the" etc. :o) Enjoy your reading!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I watched the movie Watership Down a LONG time ago and I really liked it. Didn't even know it was a book. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm TOTALLY checking out "Womanly Dominion.." and "Children Who Do Too Little." Thanks!
Husbands and Fathers by derek prince... its written for fathers but relevant for mothers. and then check out all things Derek Prince!
ReplyDeleteGaias Garden (i forget the author) but its about permaculture, perennial edible gardening, making an edible garden super beautiful.. Love it! my sister got it for me for my birthday : )

ReplyDelete-bobbi : ) oh gmail : )
Hummmm... two that come to mind that I love would be- Herbal Antibiotics by Stephen Harrod Buhner and Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicine by Stephen Cummings. I've reread them many times, well worth the money to have them on hand. :) I could add a massive list on here, as I have plenty of favorites, but it looks like you have close to enough for now. {Is there such a thing?} :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished a very sad, very REAL, and eye-opener this past weekend! It's about slum life in India...gulp. It's called Behind the Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo. It's very brutal and does have swearing in it.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I want to read Home Companion also!!!
Oooo... the J.R. Miller one also! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Borrowers Series by Mary Norton(?)- some of my FAVORITES as a child, also Corynn might like the Betsy Books by Carolyn Haywood. (Audrey is devouring those and the Bobbsey Twins)
ReplyDeleteAnd lastly, the Henry Reed and Homer Price books by Robert McClusky (yes of Blueberries For Sal fame) I enjoy them as much as my kidlets do!
