A few photos (of the many) from one of the most charming weddings I've ever photographed (even attended). If I could have a wedding do-over, it would look like this. Origami hanging overhead, bits of fabric tassels hanging around the entire perimeter of the party tent, white lights and feathers glistening in the wind, homegrown flowers, home-baked cupcakes, a handmade dress, scads of children running about, handmade silver wedding bands, an old barn and old barrels mixed with old lace and mason jars, lawn games and ringpops, and always a nod to family, heritage and the legacies of those parents' who have paved the way by glorious example of godly marriages. A bevy of eleven flower girls and a ringbearer who took his job very, very seriously.
The bride was the most polite and benevolent bride I've ever seen on her wedding day- all gentle thank-you's to everyone who was doing anything at all for her-quite unlike the stressed out and flurrying about brides we are all familiar with. The groom's smile practically exploded.
It was such an honor and pleasure to be a witness to such a union of hearts.
I would want a wedding do-over like that, as well! So beautiful! Andy your photographs capture their love and beauty. That groom is definitely smitten!
