What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

These Lips Get Me Every Time

These Days

Mid-winter lilies are therapeutic mid-winter.  Try it- you'll see!

These photos hurt my heart.  Especially that second one.

Thank goodness he gave me a little-boy grin just afterward.  I'd have been done in.

We've had sickness going around for about two weeks.  One person would get it for a few days, we'd have a day off.  Then another one would succumb.  Two weeks later, I feel like we are only just now 'back to normal'.  That's one of those things about having a larger family- it is pretty much inevitable that anything 'gotten' will go through the entire house and will take forever to finally hit everyone.  On Ineke's turn, even sick as a dog, she wanted to hold Moses' hand.  It was super sweet- and probably the reason he later got sick himself.

Being sick never looked so good.

She typically wears a sweatshirt and jeans during the week.  Maybe that is why on Sundays, Corynn is all the more striking when she finally does get spiffy.

A friend got her the dress at a bag sale.

And oh, those locks!

The cinnamon roll star gets an upgrade.  Now it is a strawberries and cream star.  And a major YUM.

A huge, brilliant, beautiful snowstorm dumped about 9 inches of snow on us over the weekend.  It has been such a strange winter- so mild, so brown, so rainy.  I remember one day in January reaching the unheard of temp (around here) of 60 degrees!  It felt so good to see Old Man Winter putting some effort in before it is too late.  The boys build snowbales today and had a nerf gun battle in the yard.  Warm weather and rain in the forecast means that the snow will not last for long- so we enjoy it while we can.

I'd write more but 1 a.m.  isn't the best time to blog.  At least not coherent thoughts.  I do what I can.
