What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Wedding Sneak Peak

Please understand that, while this post is excessively full of photographs, I showed enormous restraint in narrowing it down to only these.

I could say a lot about this beautiful day and beautiful people behind it, but I will let the pictures do the talking...

And true to fashion, I saved best for last.

My most favorite shot of the day~ call it "Photographers' Choice" if you will:

Whoa, girl. I knew you were good, but I have just upgraded my opinion to positively outstanding! Yours can rival any wedding photographs I've ever seen. Your "joie de vivre" is certainly displayed in your pictures perspective.

These are perfect, Rebecca. Absolutely wonderful! Love the details...the tent reflected in the water...everything. That last one is GORGEOUS!!! Do you use some sort of reflector for portraits? You are so good with light! I need lots of work on that!!! BEAUTIFUL work! Can I have you come and do my wedding 7 1/2 years ago? ;) My photos were not the best and I regret that SO much!!!
Just wonderful!!!

...WOW...absolutely amazing.

I love the one where she is leaning back on a tree and her husband is standing behind her, the balance and the color, beautiful. They are all truly wonderful. You have some serious talent!

oooh-thanks so much for gushing everyone. I was really hoping for some gushing. ;-)

Amy~ I don't have ANY fancy equipment like reflectors or flash diffusers and I don't think I would have had enough hands to use them anyway. Everything you see is just me and my Canon Rebel.

Unfortunately I know that the wedding was a success because of perfect circumstances more than perfect talent~ shooting indoors is very hard for me to do successfully so I am SO thankful for the outdoor lighting. It was GOD who made the shots, not me. :-)

"Just you and your Canon Rebel"

That SCREAMS out your talent even more, that you have these wonderful pictures, and no fancy gizmos!

Just fabulous!!! I just need to experiment more...I have such a hard time with sunny days as everything is so harsh/shadows...so then I end up editing a lot...I just love the light & clarity of yours!!! *jealous sigh over Rebecca's photography skills* :P

Amazing job, girl! Wish I could see all of them! Oh, when you edit what program do you use?

Wow, and again I say WOW!!! I really want to get married again so that you can be my photographer. Maybe for our 25th wedding anniversary on our property in NY??? (It would give us 5 years to plan...) (Oh yeah I just remembered my BIL might be insulted as he is a "photographer" but I don't think I've seen anything of his that can even come remotely close to these photos!!!!)

I am so happy to see that you are actively using the gifts that God has given you! You do not realize it but you inspire me! I know I am "several" years older than you but I learn so much from you and I am truly blessed to call you friend!!

gorgeous!!! i LOVE the one where her veil is floating out....

reminds me of the perfect wind we had on our wedding day, perfect for the outside pics before the weddings, just enough to blow the ladies' hair glamourously ;P my photographer (a good friend) said you could pay big bucks for wind like that in a studio and god gave it to us for free :)

anyways, beautiful job capturing a beautiful day :)
