What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Happy Easter!

No pretty pictures of egg hunts or spiffy Easter duds for THIS blog.  Instead you get sad puppy faces and enamel puke bowls.  (My apologies.)

An alternative blog post?  Everywhere the little boy went, the puke bowl was sure to follow.

Yep- the boys were next in line to Miss Addie Mae.

Lots of all-nighters for this Mama, fevered foreheads, laundry loading and story reading (SO MANY stories).  Plenty of episodes of Petticoat Junction from the library too.  (Judah does a pretty good rendition by now.)  In fact, the beginning theme song of every Petticoat Junction episode has me watching my littlest guy who gets the cutest little half-grin of delight every time the train comes rolling down the track to the junction (petticoat...junction...)  So cute.

That was our Easter.  The house looked like a crochet-covered hospital ward.

Fevers have finally broken and appetites are s-l-o-w-l-y returning, so I am praying we are over and done this sickie season.  We've never had so much sickness before and I am (har har) SICK of it.

Hope your Easter was full of good things and precious Truth.

Ugh, I am so sorry but I so understand. I don't think I've been to church 2 Sundays in a row since Christmas, and Z. has a cough right now that has me wondering if he should be checked for pneumonia.
Praying for ya'll!

Oh no. We've had a lot of crusty noses, coughing, and low grade fevers lately also!!!! So sorry!! Something about the change of seasons for us...our house is pretty cool/damp...old farmhouses....

Sorry about your Resurrection Sunday! :( Ours was packed with a trip to the inlaws and a stay at our little fixer-uper cabin...it was busy and I'm tired, but HE IS RISEN!

Thank you for your letter! The children were SO excited to receive theirs as well!!! :)

We're now host to one of the many coughs floating around, so in the last week of all-nighters, croupy babies, and fog-filled bathrooms, I've been thinking of you, thankful that I'm awake for croup and not vomit. I'm sure you'd rather not be used as a foil of misery to reflect my good fortune back at me, but it's the truth.

Glad to hear your long week+ of illness is nearing its close. Here's to a soon-coming and healthy spring!

Aww...how terrible! We've been trying to avoid the virus bug down here in Mississippi, too! So far, so good. So sorry this happened on the Easter holiday. Sickness knows no holiday, does it?

Bonnie- just today I took my own Miss Addie Mae to get checked for pneumonia because of her horrible- vomit-inducing coughing. I was told a lot of parents are bringing coughing kids in for pneumonia and then she laughed. She said "If your child has pneumonia, you'll know it. They will be lethargic good-for-nothings, have high temperatures and you'll KNOW it. Don't even bother bringing them in unless they have high temps."

SO- if he doesn't have a temperature- it might just be an AWFUL cough. In which case- I feel your pain, sister. argh.

Amy- I think our girls must have written their letters on the same day because we Corynn received Anne's the other day and was thrilled! yay!

Beth- I love your comments. The end. :-)

Abigail- well, let's see. Matt was over there last week. Five day incubation period.... hmmmm. My nights of vomit are over (Thank the Lord) but they are still awfully disturbed with cough. We'll be baby steaming together, I guess. Hope everyone feels better SOON.

MameyJane- lucky gal!
