What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Here and There

The children and I ditched Matt over the weekend to head for a visit with Opa and to the zoo with lots of our favorite people.  It was wonderful, all the way around.  My favorite place at the zoo was with the orangutans- they had a baby and it was just about the cutest thing in the world.   But the sea lions were pretty personable too...and the polar bear was striking...and running rhinos are quite a sight. Zoos are such neat places...

Matt used his 'free' day wisely and not only rototilled my herb garden for me but was able to get his John Deere tractor running...something he has wanted to do but hasn't had time to do for a while now. We came home to a bowlful of strawberries waiting to be picked (!) and the first peony bloomed.

Going away is rare and special and fun but coming home is pretty sweet too.

Remember when I "shared" bulbs? I don't understand it but yours are just thriving and mine, well I have exactly two irises, how did THAT happen! Your flower circle is just the prettiest thing ever. And what a beautiful napping circle also ;)
