What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Foto Friday: Hearts

Last week's challenge was HEARTS.

Unfortunately, after Matt got sick from Sunday-Tuesday, I got bit by the nasty bug on Wednesday. I have been worthless ever since. Matt was beyond lovely-he took a sick day yesterday so that I could rest (and that is ALL I did, in fact) making supper, doing school, washing dishes, changing diapers, bringing me tea and making me soup. I have never been so pampered in all my life. He is, basically, my hero. I still don't feel 100% but on the road there anyhow, but I do still have my sealegs~not really conducive to scurrying around trying to find hearts to take pictures of this morning.

Needless to say, while I had *GRAND* plans for hearts, none came to fruition.

Thankfully, the sickies have officially made (and finished) their rounds, so hopefully this house will be a happy zone from now on. (yes? please?!?)

Not a single picture taken this week-but I did scrounge one up from strawberry season archives. Simply because I am the *moderator* and HAVE to have atleast ONE picture. Sheesh.

I can practically taste the juicy goodness. (The first sign I am feeling better!) Makes me VERY enthusiastic about the 40 some strawberry starts given to us by some good friends that we transplanted. We have always gone strawberry picking and spent absolute FORTUNES on those nuggets of gold. But this year~ THIS YEAR~ we can pick in our own patch! yay! SPRING, come quickly!

Now-for the TALENTED entries:

In order to participate in these Foto Friday challenges, you must take a photo (or several) pertaining to the challenge WITHIN the challenge week and post it/them to your blog. When you do, please link back to this blog {you may use the button if you like} so that perhaps we can get lots of participants! (Because, you know, the more the merrier!) Then simply link to your Foto Friday post with Mr. McLinky here so that we all can visit you and compare notes...

For those of you new to this blog (or to Foto Friday's in general), each Friday we get a new photo challenge to work on for the week and we post our photos the next Friday and link back up here. Whatever your skill level, the goal is to get behind your camera and to begin, as you practice, to view subjects in a different light. To extend yourself and your concepts and ideas. To create ART instead of just snapping a picture. And to do it all while having FUN.

This week's challenge is continuing in the shapes category: SQUARES

Rebecca, I'm so sorry you all have been sick. The stomach bug is the worst thing and especially when you have little ones to take care of. I'm glad you are on the mend and that was really, really sweet of Matt!

I'm sorry you have been sick too! Hooray for Matt being such a dear!

You have a bit of a pun in there, pictures not coming to fruition, then posting the strawberry, which, by the way, I am totally craving now. maybe I'll go eat a jar of jam.

Not sure I'll get to post today, I got one picture, but this has been a crummy week, and on top of that the furnace went out at some point yesterday (I never even noticed...), and they are supposed to come out today.
Thank-goodness for B.'s forethought to conserve our meager wood supply for emergencies!

I'll try this afternoon/evening....

I am so sorry you have been so sick.
Your strawberry heart really get me excited about warmer weather and strawberry picking. Last year we found a GREAT little strawberry farm and we are so looking forward to going again this year to pick :).
Thanks for hosting Foto Friday despite not feeling well.

By the way, could you tell me how I would get your Foto Friday button to use on my blog. I tried copying and pasting it but that did not work. I did not see a html code anywhere....

Yummy, we love strawberries around here. I was told it's strawberry season here now??? I need to see if there is a place to pick strawberries...

I'm so sorry you haven't been well, but I'm glad that you're on the mend. It's so hard when momma is down. :(

I am so sorry that you caught the bug too but it was so incredibly sweet of Matt to take time off to take care of you! He is such a sweet, caring hubby!

Ok, I am literally drooling over your strawberry heart! Note to self... find out if there are any local u-pick strawberry places.

Did I read correct, next week is squares? Do you know what happened here yesterday? The movers came! And do you know what my house and our filled with at the moment? Squares and rectangles, lots of them... Oh do I see a world of pictures this week.

I just wanted to say congratulations on your new little bundle of joy on the way. What a blessing. I just saw the news since I have been away from the blogging world recently and wanted to let you know.

Have a blessed day!
