What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Wonka

The kitchen is a hopping place these days. I purposely waited until the last possible moment to make these treats so that they would actually make it to their recipients.

Neighbor tins, delivered.

Work platter, made.

Mailman tin, ready.

Garbage men tin, ready.

Librarian tin, ready for tonight.

With even a few left for the Christmas Eve party on Friday.

I really wanna make another batch of sugar cookies but it is a tossup between making those and making felt food for Adele' and since, well, that is pretty much all I had planned for Miss Adyay besides a book, I guess felt food must take precedence. I really wanted to get a few batches of crochet coasters done and oh yes, there is still the hats I need to finish.

Any messes being made in your neck of the woods?

Buckeyes. Sugar cutout cookies. Pizzelles. Chocolate-covered pretzels. Dinner rolls. Chocolate chip cookies. Struffoli. All with the helping hands of a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 5-year-old. &: )

That looks so fab!
Would you post your truffle recipes on your food blog?
Just that every Xmas I love trying out a new truffle recipe (along side the oldies that we love!). Would be fun to have a "Rebecca Truffle" to try!

Have a great Christmas!

Cheers, Wilma

Yum! I am doing some last minute gingerbread & more sugar cookies! :) I want to do a variation on your square pretzel, chocolate, & walnut next year for neighbors...it has a peppermint? kiss & m&m in middle! :)

Blessings, Willy! ;)

I'm guessing this means that you got a new oven or had yours fixed if you were able to bake sugar cookies. Hooray, and Merry Christmas to you!

Yes, OH YES! there are many messes going on here.

how does everything turn out so incredibly beautifully? I was up predawn yesterday, turning my kitchen into a veritable whirlwind of flower, etc., following recipes to the letter (and no toddlers helping, mind you), and only one of four cookie batches turned out giftable (giftably?).

methinks one has a knack, or one doesn't; clearly you does, and I doesn't. ;)

Merry Christmas ~

oops - make that "flour" - (or perhaps that was the problem? ha!)

i attempted fudge for the first time this week - a good old fashioned recipe. I kinda ruined it. Luke had said he'd like to have a stash of christmas goodies to munch at work...
so i made no bake cookies with red hots on top instead :) you can't hardly ruin no bake cookies!

tonight i'll be crocheting fun fur fringe on socks for some friends, and making baggies of hot chocolate mix for hubby to take to work (stockin stuffer). Gotta scrub up a few hand me down outside toys - the little slide will thrill my Aiden boy (14 months old)

I'm thinking i'm gonna suprise hubby with his favorite cookie too - snickerdoodles!
if i can make a decent batch... but not today.

All your goodies look so delicious. I just love christmas baking!

I'm salivating over the chocolate-covered pretzels. Yummmmm!

Meggity and I put together 3 pumpkin rolls this morning in record time -- still have 3 more to do plus a lot of other baking.

I love Christmas smells.

Christmas hugs and kisses to all.

Is that some of that scrumptious peanut butter fudge you have the recipe for on your food blog (that I have made twice)? Yum!
