What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

It's happened!

So it finally happened..... I wondered if it ever would.

I always kind of joked that it would happen in a store after my children and I had been shopping all day and the children were acting up and being naughty and I was losing my temper....
but despite not having done my hair, nothing traumatic happened at all.

In fact, it was pretty cool.

What was?

Being spotted (and recognized) by a blog reader!

I was walking among tables at a random craft show and the gal behind the counter said "Is your name Rebecca?"

Yes....yes it is....

Turns out, she has been following my blog for quite some time! I even pulled a Rumplestiltskin and quizzed her to make sure she was serious--- "Oh yeah? Well....well....what is my blogs' NAME?!" (she guessed)

As I stood there listening to her tell her friend who I was and what I do, I felt astonished anew that people ACTUALLY read my blog, choose to witness and take interest in my little uninteresting-save-to-me life.

I mean, WoW.

That is really cool.

I have to say, the rest of the day I felt just a *tad* bit like a celebrity.

If I'm ever with my daughter and see you and recognize you, I'll tell my daughter that you are the woman with the blog with all of the fantastic pictures!

Mrs. G is correct - Judah's picture is great!

How fun!
I'd much rather call you a celebrity for what you do in your home than celebrate the world's highly esteemed "celebrities" for what they do. Anyday!

The effect you're having on the world is far more real and permanent.

Okay, I hate to be the first to burst your bubble, but this isn't very impressive at all-- not the slightest bit exciting, really.

I (and me and myself) have been recognized MANY, MANY times by MULTIPLE readers of my blog.

Being the humble sort, I hate to brag, but here's an abbreviated list:
1. My Mopsy
2. My mom-in-law
3. My sister Deborah
4. My sister Rebecca
5. My brother Joel
6. My brother Luke
7. My sis-in-law Sarah
8. My sis-in-law Jae-Ryong
9. My sis-in-law Wendy
10.My sis-in-law Sarah
11.My sis-in-law April
12.My Popsy
13. My Dude-in-law

I wager there are even a few more unnamed relatives lurking around the corners of my blog, but I left them out because I don't want to make you feel awful.

Congratulations on the recognition, I guess. When you reach the lucky number 13, let me know. We'll be in the same blogger's league then!

With fond regards from your snarky chum,
Apple-pal

p.s. Seriously? Cool!!!

I know I should be writing about your post, but I can't get beyond the photo. He is so adorable. I just want to squeeze him. Hang in there dear. This place is yours, and someday Matt will be on his own again. He is just being a responsible man and you know he loves you dearly. So many blessings, as I know you know.

That photo is worth a thousand words. It could be a greeting card "What? It's December already?" or any number of other remarks. He is just too cute!

It doesn't matter that you didn't write today. I just had to see that little boy again. He makes me smile each time I look at the picture.

You WERE a celebrity and you simply gushed with enjoyment when she revealed she "knew" you :)
