What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Worketh Well

Our Bird haven has resulted in many lovely birds but still not many shots. This camera just doesn't work well at snapping fast-fluttering whirlwinds. I did manage to get a few pictures though, for posterity's sake. It has been great fun for Corynn (and myself) seeing the birds up close and personal. I just wish the woodpeckers, cardinals and bluejays weren't so person/camera shy!

(If you look closely in this shot, you will see that the bird has a seed in its' beak. That was sheer luck. Trust me.) Posted by Picasa

I love the pictures of the birds! Actually, I love your blog overall! I found you from Reformed Farmer's Wife.

Rebecca,
The next step you'll have to take is hand feeding the birds. This is a great experience. The chickadees are especially easy to get to come and take sunflower seeds from your hand. My girls and I have been doing this for years. I'm sure Corynn would really enjoy it.
