What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Elisabeth van der Jagt
My OMA

December 2, 1920 - March 15, 2009

Oh, the joy I imagine she has at this time, seeing and living in a place she has only pined for these nearly 90 years. The comfort of her Father's love and His nearness of presence.

This is a sad time, but incredibly joy-filled too.

We will meet again.

Rebecca,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. I'm so thankful to have met and gotten to know your Oma a little bit. She was such a special lady!

I once (not long ago) was where you are, facing the loss of a beloved grandmother. There was much sadness but such great comfort in knowing that she was now walking by sight and not just by faith. What joy to know that we will indeed be reunited with our loved ones someday!

Many (((HUGS))) to you, my dear friend.

Prayers and hugs at this time. I still remember that same mix of sadness and joy, when my last Grandmother went home to be with the Lord.

My heart goes out to your dear Opa, I pray that the Saviour will wrap him warmly in His arms of love and bring loving comfort to you all.

She has been received with such joy! I pray that God softens the grief of you and your family with the sweet knowledge of that future embrace. I pray, too, for Opa's sustainment during this difficult time.
