What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Foto Friday: Sky/Clouds

Last week's challenge was Sky/Clouds.

I was looking forward to this one! But would you believe, the sky was one dreary gray, cloudless mass the entire week?! I was sorely disappointed. No doubt, beautiful blue skies await as soon as tomorrow is over. Here are the few I captured...

See? I told ya about the sky! ALL week, I say! So I tried to make the sky work for me in creating the ambiance while still having an interesting subject to look at. Ya do what ya gotta do.

Here is one from last week's little park outing...

And now for (hopefully) bluer skies~

In order to participate: simply post a relevant photo pertaining to that weeks' challenge. Please link back to this blog {you may use the button if you like} when you post your blog post. Then simply link to your Foto Friday post with Mr. McLinky here so that we all can visit you and compare notes...

Next week's challenge is: Architecture

Why are we surprised at the wide variety of 'skies' we see? Even though it's not the "sky/cloud" photo you imagined, its really just how the sky and clouds are sometimes, drifting right down to the ground. I think you did a good job of capturing that. I especially love the first one, it evokes that early morning quietness.
It's odd, but the color seems to show the hills in the background more than the black and white. I get more of that "misty" feel from the colored one.
I didn't enter this week. Pooh.
Have a good week!

My Favorite is the first picture. I love the subtle colors of the foggy day. So beautiful!!!! I think fog gives any pictures a really unique aspect. It is like seeing everything anew again. Great job!

Hmm, I think I like the last one best, too hard to decide between the others!
No (gulp) pictures for me this week. Gray skies, and people getting sick every 2 days (which would mean I'm tomorrow) have kept me picture-less. Oh well, I knew eventually I would miss one!

I love the hazy/foggy pictures. It makes me think of still, calm mornings where you have the smell of moisture in the air. So, while the pictures may not be what you would have wanted ideally, they speak to me. My daughter loves the horses. :)

My favorite is the last one but I also love the ones with the horses. They really stand out in front of such a pale sky.
