What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

In covenant

Adele had a very special day yesterday. The day of her baptism.

As I stood in front of the church, confirming my belief in the promise of the covenant and vowing before witnesses to raise up my child, teaching and training this child in the ways of the Lord,

I felt wholly inadequate to the task.

There is no more transparent a time, though, that allows me to see so clearly that though I fall short... Daily. No, more so...moment by moment... God's grace is sufficient. Adele was His child first, not mine. He has not only a plan for her life, but a way in which to get there.

I pray He will guide and direct my steps, as such a monumental task stands before me.

I think that it's right and good that you submitted to your loving husband and had her baptized straight-away. What a cute little member of the covenant, too!

I'm so glad that your mom was there for you. And the gown...amazing!

What beautiful pictures. She is such a little doll! Yes it is a great task to bring up our children in the fear and admonition of His name, but thankfully He covers our mistakes. By His grace, they can turn out to be His children. May it be so.

Rebecca,

These portraits of Adele are PHENOMENAL, but then I would expect no less of your talent. What a precious little one! My heart aches to see her and my arms long to cuddle her.

Although I miss having you all nearby so badly, I am glad that you are close to family and that your mom could be there to see her granddaughter's baptism.

I continue to pray for your Oma and Opa as I think of them. What a marvelous foundation they have laid for their descendents!

Love and prayers,

Nanci & family

Stunning Photos, ones you should use for a summary of your talents when you decide to do photography as a side job.

So very sorry we missed Adele's baptism- we wouldn't have made it anyhow, Samantha and I were sicker than dogs that whole morning, afternoon, and evening...

These are gorgeous pictures! All of them!

And the dress is stunning, too. I'm still the tiniest bit bummed that we missed her baptism, but I'm thankful for these pictures of her to make up for it.
