What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

tasty

Are you sick of baby pictures yet?

I know. I am obsessed. I realize it is a problem, and am trying to get help for it.

Here is a welcome change of pace...food.

I have about 30 pounds to lose---and that is hard work. Way more difficult than say...ignoring the problem and chowing down.

In fact, maybe losing weight isn't the only option. Maybe...there are OTHER, better options. Like say...

Helping the world to GAIN 30 pounds.

Yeah. That is a WAY better solution.

So, here ya go.

Last night I made this Cheddar Sausage Strata. My first Strata experience ever-brought about by the abundant excess of bread I had no idea what to do with.

It was so delicious, and SO easy I am raving about it even today-and am giddy enough to want to share it with you all-even while laundry is waiting to be folded and thank-you notes need to be written.

It is really delicious. And good for you too. Minus the sausage. And bacon. And nearly a dozen eggs worth of cholesterol. And nearly a loaf of carbs.

Oh...but what incredible carbs they were.

Are you kidding? I LOVE BABY PICTURES!! That's one reason I've been checking your blog daily. How else can we so vividly witness God's creativity with wonder and delight? I have a 5 mo old and 6 children. I revel in their newborn perfection each time.

Ps Your recipes are great, too. I love to cook!

Congratulations on your new little girl, she is so lovely! As I sit in anticipation (just 6 more days!) of my own daughter, it just brings tears to my eyes to share in the beauty of this birth!! Thanks for letting us in on it!
