What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

A Glimpse

You've had glimpses into the Living Room, Kitchen, Craft room(which is actually the second bedroom), Bunkin Nook, even the Pantry. Of course, all the glimpses had us living in them too, but that is how they are ALL of the time. I guess it wouldn't really convey what the room looks like if it weren't being lived in.

Honestly, I'm running out of rooms to show you!!!

Today you get a glimpse

into the School Room/Family Room

This is where we LIVE

Spring Cleaning has been on my agenda the past week or so; organizing, my middle name.

It seems the children all outgrew their clothes at the same time-and while I haven't really "outgrown" my maternity clothes, three months later~ I REFUSE to wear them anymore....so I had a LOT of sorting to do.

All closets are weeded through, clothing no longer suitable has been packed away, armoire and dressers made tidy again (with a five year old and a two year old putting their own clothes away they need overhauls every now and again.), all floors swept and mopped, all spiders thwarted in their plans, the pantry is organized and inventoried, the furniture dusted, school shelves cleaned and organized, messes cleaned up, paperwork organized, dust bunnies blown out from under furniture, and just-well. NICE.

It's been a big job.

But it feels REALLY good. I can welcome spring with much more open arms.

Don't worry~another one of my tasks was taking down the snowflakes and snowman paraphernalia.

None too soon, if you ask me.

How do you do it all? With a 3 month old, no less! I really need to take some lessons from you. :)

My secret was just to decide I would tackle ONE biggish project a day, even though my list was a PAGE long it seemed. Having just ONE thing to do in order to reach my goal made it far less intimidating and often, I felt so good afterward, if there weren't pressing needs, I went ahead and tackled something else-just because I was on a roll.

But remember~ I didn't accomplish all that in a DAY~it took two weeks to be able to write all those things down and the truth is far less impressive! ;-)

The School Room/Family Room is one of my favorite spots in the whole house. The bright, open space suits its purpose perfectly. (And, to be honest, it looked just as clean when we were all there. I think you're fibbing with that "messes cleaned up" line.)

And no skimping! You still have nearly half a dozen rooms left to show! You could spread them out over the next several months, or you could choose to pile them on us all at once. (I kind of like the pile 'em on all at once idea, but, granted, I sometimes err on the side of excess.)

It must feel so nice to have spring cleaning done and be ahead of spring. I've never seen your house but by the look of the pics your house is spotless, and to think I showed you my messy
upstairs.
Seriously,It has helped me get motivated. We have company coming for the night Sat. and I am guess what~ cleaning, cleaning & more cleaning

Ah, but Abby

My own vanity demands the house to be cleaned when company comes! The impressive part is that it looked that way WITHOUT the need~which is rare.

Mary~ the fact that you haven't yet seen our house is going to change. And soon.
