What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Hearthstone

For my birthday present this year, my mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate to a perennial greenhouse (she knows me well!) with the understanding that on the day I chose to go, she would watch the children so I could go undistracted and linger long.

Last week, it finally happened.  And oh MY.  There are no words to how amazing this place was.  It was unlike any greenhouse *I* had ever seen, anyway.

I left with balloon flowers, perennial hibiscus, butterfly weed and shasta daisies (I went only $3.00 over!) and a renewed hope for a some-day herb farm of my own.

Oh my goodness, I wouldn't be able to leave. I am every so slowly getting rid of the grass we have and planting perennial flowers and herbs. Hopefully, our place will look like that someday...I had a passing thought on how it would be fun to do a perennial flower swat on my blog but not sure how to ship everything so it would get there in good condition, too hot or cold and the plants might not make it.
