What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Weekending

While Matt works on building up the foundation, I am busy cleaning mud-tromped floors, canning up spaghetti sauce and preparing foods for the picnic/party we are hosting tomorrow.  Meanwhile~ there is a tornado watch in effect (great picnic weather, no?) complicating our efforts.  But unlike last time, I am safe at home and if the electricity goes out, at least we will have spaghetti sauce to eat!

What are your weekend plans?

Making pizza, just got back from the spring getting water where my oldest drove and hubby was the co-pilot. LOL

We've canned up bunches of stuff this week also, so today is a day off of canning. ;)

We just moved into our new house about 2 months ago and my husband's parents (we've not seen them in 5 years) are coming to see it. They are from the Netherlands and I always love when you post about Opa :) So I'm spending the whole weekend trying to unpack the last of the miscellaneous boxes in preparation for their visit.

Today was 7 hours in the garden weeding and then actually planting in a garden plot that I started in May but stopped working on when the heat came. It looks marvelous now, but still needs mulched tomorrow since the rains came today before I could get to it.

Tomorrow we will go to the one-day local arts and craft festival.

Mari~ my garden is so crazy full of weeds I can't even think straight. An artsy festival sounds wonderful!

Kara~ oh my. Sounds like you are going to be BUSY! How wonderful that they are able to visit though! And how wonderful to be on the flip side of a new move!
