What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther
How far along are you now? I am almost 20 weeks along with the twins, and feel like I look about as far along as you already! LOL I have "popped" more just since Christmas, which of course, thrills Abby!
You look so good Rebecca-I don't want to hear you complaining about yourself anymore! :)
As long as you look as big as I normally do, Beck, I'll be satisfied! :)Elizabeth, She COMPLAINS?!?!? The next time she opens her mouth to complain about those skinny arms and legs, give her a smack (in love) for me. I've "popped" considerably since Christmas, too; unfortunately, it's everywhere--in my arms, face, etc., which is surely unrelated to my devouring sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two weeks straight. You must have a double measure of self-control, Rebecca!
R.R~ When will you be getting your half-way ultrasound? When you find out what you are having-you had better let me know! :-) I can hardly WAIT!Elizabeth~Really and truly. I am not complaining about my belly. I like myself better so much more this time since I seem to be carrying in front more. With Corynn she sort of stretched around to my back so I just felt like a whale-and felt like I didn't LOOK pregnant but just FAT. This time I feel more 'PREGNANT'.Abby~Not in the slightest. I have been eating more junk than I did with Corynn even! I CRAVE soda and chips. It is very bad. Very Very Bad! When Matt was gone for that week-I bought a carton of Whoppers and ate HALF of it and a WHOLE carton of Cheetos in ONE NIGHT. So you see...I don't know what the deal is. BUT-I AM starting to see the beginning of a double chin so I must stop NOW. No more EXCESS.
We had an ultrasound at almost 18 weeks, and the technician thinks maybe both babies are girls. She was not as sure about "Baby B" though. I have my 20 week appointment Friday--seeing the perinatologist for the first time (high risk dr. because of twin pregnancy). If all goes well, hopefully, I will only have an occasional appointment with him and most appointments with the midwives still. The doctor Friday should give me another order to schedule the next ultrasound. We will probably have a different technician, so I plan to ask about the gender again (and probably again each ultrasound for a while! LOL)
It must be a Johnson thing? So far Abby is two for two and you are let's see....five out of six?!?! ;-) Congratulations! That is very exciting! I think it is a good idea to double-check if you have the opportunity...but they do say they make more mistakes for boys being girls than girls being boys. Whatever! :-) You sure are going to have to get creative with girl names! I have had a much harder time coming up with a girl name this time around-because I loved Corynn so much it was SET. Now, I just don't know. We are tossing around three or four options at this point, but none are "SET" like with Corynn.
Actually it's the other way around. My brother and fiance were told 3 times during 3 different ultrasounds that they were having a girl. But they had a little boy!Technicians/Doctors make more mistakes when saying someone is having a girl than when saying someone is having a boy.
Rebecca, Like I said, you must have a double measure of self-control! (And if that comment doesn't expose the pounds of chocolate I consumed, literally, in one week, then I don't know what will.) Sigh. There are definite benefits to being pregnant in the winter, but being a spineless, sweet-toothed girl in a season of delicacies isn't the greatest of them.
I think the ultrasound tech's do make more mistakes saying it is a girl and it turning out to be a boy then the other way around from what I have heard also. As far as names, we have been working on them some. We are still going to come up with a pair of girls' names, a boy/girl pair and a pair of boys' names, just in case the babies come out different sexes than we have been told! LOL So far, we have a pair of girls' names we are fine with, but could be subject to change if we think of something better. Now we are working on figuring out the boy/girl pair and after that we will work on the pair of boys' names (I think I already have a pair in mind that I like for those ones, though.) It sure makes it interesting having to come up with so many names that "fit" together!
