What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

More the Merrier

Friends pop up in the most unexpected places at times. It can be easy to forget that when I typing away at this big black box I am actually sharing my thoughts and my life with others, some that I know and some that I don't. It is a great priviledge indeed when the real world and virtual world, in their rotating, orbiting spacial-dwellings overlap for a moment and I get to experience them both at the same time.

So it was yesterday, when a woman I met through this blog came with her children in tow to my home. I never would have met her otherwise, I am sure, and what a loss it would have been not to have! Her children were a delight, she was gracious with my offerings of still-hard-as-rocks potatoes and carrots (and I have a recipe blog, sheesh! Way to keep my humble!), and she was such a pleasure!

Kris, thanks again, so very much for making the trek out! I am just so glad to have met you...you are a gem. And that's the truth.

Today is a low-key day, and has been all day long. Matt works this weekend, which is all for the better since I am working on a top secret birthday project for him. It will give me time (always lacking) to work on it without his sneaking peeks (nearly impossible, otherwise.) His birthday is the day before Valentine's Day...so I better get working!

And I noticed today....it won't be long before these beauties burst! I can't wait! Maybe....on Valentine's Day? Maybe, just MAYBE, they might get some companions?!? Hint, Hint Mattie! ;-)

Dear Rebecca,

The pleasure was all mine, truly!!! And, okay, maybe the potatoes were a "little" undercooked, but, let me tell ya, the cappuccino cheesecake MORE than made up for them! You served a wonderful feast, everything was delicious and most of all, made with love. Thank you again.

Blessings,
Kris
