What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Shakespeare, on Love

I am trying to convince myself that~

“Absence doth sharpen love, presence strengthens it; the one brings fuel, the other blows it till it burns clear.”

But all I really feel is~

“Absence from those we love is self from self - a deadly banishment.”

Awwww. Sorry. I understand in a way. My hubby is working full time, in school, and doing clinicals (500 hours to be exact). He isn't around much. These are just wonderful photos, Rebecca. Ones to treasure for always. Ones for the wall in your bedroom!!! :)

These are lovely-- a pale substitute, but gems nonetheless. You look quite content with that bearded barbarian. Soon!

And, ah, for a camera-open husband... :)

("Soon" refers to his homecoming, but I suppose one could also apply it to the shearing of the barbarian beard, no?)

I agree with the second quote. I HATE when John's gone on business trips. Part of me is missing until he comes home safe.

Beautiful photos to treasure forever! I'd be framing them for your bedroom for sure!! If only my husband were not so camera-shy, I would do something like this. Praying for you during those absences!
