What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Last Week's "Field Trip"

"If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it." ~David Sobel

We went to a State Park the last day we could before it officially opened and began charging admission. A State Park that had this funny little creek you have to DRIVE over. It really was crazy crazy.

After the thrill of driving over it, we went in ourselves to wade and splash around.

Oh, that looks like so much fun! So nice and shady, too. I think more beaches need to be under trees, then I won't get burned... ;)

What state park was this? I can't remember, though it sounds familiar.

I forget the name of it---but it is near EddyDales and Buttermilk Falls, if you are familiar with that area. Super fun. Elizabeth says there is even a windmill there, but we didn't have time to go there unfortunately.... maybe next time!
